My opinion, it was no fluke. He did get the confidence to argue in Cabinet for delay because if his understanding that there were many Tories who think, like you and Deeranged, that the experts and NHS were saying and getting what they wanted. He played a blinder by backing all the Tories who wanted their corrupt chum declared innocent and the rules rewritten. Seems to me that he is at last getting some parliamentary oversight of decisions and if he can just get the system to prove that they can cope he might get these special measures withdrawn in Westminster. Some puss shutter for Nicola etc.
Maybe a bit optimistic but let's wait and see.
