It's a side effect of wokeness, you might say. Of course provision needs to be made for MTF and FTM athletes in the same way as there is for special needs / differently abled athletes. (Before anyone jumps all over that I'm not suggesting cross gender issues are a disability).

But in the same way that you would not have expected a Class B1 athlete to compete against Usain Bolt, fairness cannot allow a birth male who has recently self identified as female to compete against a field of birth females.

Although I agree with the vast majority of that, I suspect you are allowing the chip on your shoulder about ‘woke’ to cloud your judgement.

I nearly made the comparison with disabled - I’m sorry but ‘differently abled’ makes no sense to me - athletes myself but decided against it for the reasons you suggest...however in the same way as someone was once foolish enough to accuse me of being racist because I disagreed with their stance on a black pupil’s welfare...if you’re sufficiently secure in your reasoning and beliefs then common sense provides a fine refuge.

Suffice it to say...in between the ‘jokes’ I think you speak a lot of sense on the subject, but I also think you have a chip on your shoulder about ‘woke’ and ‘political correctness’.

Both are, imo, forces for good, but people (not necessarily you) sometimes knowingly misinterpret them possibly because they don’t like having their values challenged.

Well someone like me with no moral compass has no values either!

JK Rowling is a classic example. She explained a woman using common sense. Has been hounded by social media and the far left press into the corner.
Even the people from her book series, who she made millionaires, have ostracised her.

Exactly whose moral compass is correct here? Commin sense it seems, has broad horizons.

JK so much in a corner that her follow up books looking at Dumbledore as a youngster and other subjects have made her even more millions. I'm quite sure she won't be mourning having Harry and Hermione not speaking to her.....
