Isn’t that the point though? We don’t want to sell him so why would we ask for a fee that people think is realistic. It has to be a fee far beyond what is the norm. Personally I’d be very disappointed if we sold him for £1 million.

Just saying ...
ML and JJ good enough to play Championship IMO.
Both naturally ambitious.
Time's not on their side.
Yeah, I guess that is the point given that we don't need to sell for financial reasons. And for that reason, I don't think he'll go anywhere this summer. I don't think any club will be willing to offer what he's worth to us.
Great to be in this position, isn't it? We either sell him for a game-changing amount of money or we keep him. Win-win. Amazing bit of work getting him to sign that long contract last year.
100% we got the timing spot on. Don’t get me wrong if Macca pushes for a move and puts in a transfer request the landscape changes. I’m not sure Notts would want to hold him against his wishes. We just have to hope Macca was being sincere, when he spoke about what a joy it is to play for Notts.
I'm sure he was being sincere, but that doesn't mean the chance to play two levels higher and quadruple his salary wouldn't turn his head. I love the guy, but if he decides he wants to leave and further his career elsewhere, I'll wish him well. He's earned the chance, if he wants it. And if not, he can stay here, captain us to promotion, and become a genuine club legend. Either way, the future's bright for Macca, and we'll be OK either way in the long run.
We will never know what he goes for if he does. The owners tend to keep that indoors. A good thing as other clubs can't hold you to ransom on a signing knowing you have just banked x amount
Not being funny but Millwall is hardly a glamour club to join. I'd have been concerned if it was Sunderland or Middlesbrough but Millwall... Nah
