In previous seasons after going 2-1 down the side would have retracted into its own ar$e and crumbled, but these guys went for it themselves. Im not sure much of it was through instruction from the bench and it gave a great finale after a really dull first half.
The only point of great management for me was to leave Stephenson ON the park after his injury. He is young and will heal fast. But his spirit seemed to get everyone up for a fight and go for it.
Well done everyone involved yesterday.
In Dalbys interview on dutv he said it was Goodwin urging them from the touchline to keep going and they'll get a goal, then after the equaliser he was urging them to get the winner
New contract please for JG is what I am hoping for now soon, I am sick of changing managers and I genuinely would not swap him now for McInnes,Robinson or Tony Doc the Messiah etc
Brilliant scenes at Tannadice yesterday and i'm no even embarrassed with the pitch invasion, even the manager got involved in it.
Another great three points. Definitely did not see that coming as we entered extra time, especially when Hibs were trying to waste time, and see out the game. Plaudits to Jim Goodwin and the players for not giving up and fighting for the win.
When the team sheets came out, - no Moult, Graham, Murdoch, Sibbald, -four players who would almost certainly be in the 1st eleven. I would have been happy with a draw, so a win is amazing.
But this squad seems to have the tenacity and spirit of Jim Goodwin as a player, so we are definitely no pushovers, as seen in the hard away games to Killie and St Mirren. Great to be in 4th place with 15 points.
Good crowd too, over 10,800, pity we didn't have the Shed, - and hopefully there are plans for us to have the Shed for the game against Aberdeen on 29 December.
You can always tell we have had a good result with the absence of certain posters who only come out when we lose.
Great result. Strength and depth in the squad these days. Round pegs in round holes, who'd have thought that would have worked. Credit to Goodwin for assembling a squad that can still play players in their favoured positions when others are out. Good to see he went for it taking off Adegboyega and putting on VDS.
Against the Sheep he has to start Moult as in the Celtic v Sheep game neither of these teams looked comfortable when asked questions at the back. What we don't want to do is let them saunter about with it at the back imo. Dalby and Moult central pairing from the start.
