The Kayode decision is a disgrace. The stats may be wrong but it looks like he has played less than 50 professional matches in the last 5 years and about 10 in the last 3 years. In that last spell of 3 years he hasn't scored a goal - taken from Wiki so need validation.
The kid is injury prone and has failed to demonstrate he has any capability to be a professional footballer at league one level. He is also 25 so very unlikely to improve. I dont care if he is on ?50 a week - whatever it is, its wasted money.
Holmes, slightly different in that he isnt injury prone but hasnt demonstrated any real ability in the few opportunities he has had.
These are poor decisions and they reflect badly on TS and MH. As I feared, MH is another puppet who TS has selected on the cheap and because he will do as he is told. "One of our own" my arse!

The retained list proves everything I said about calls for a mass clear out the other week. There can't be one. The JJ decision is really baffling to be honest and can only send a clear hint that things are going to be done on the cheap by trying to morph him during the summer into a serious League 1 striker. Triggering the 1 year extension on Holme's contract may seem innocent given he is likely to be on low money but he is also likely to take up a squad place. Anyway,as others have said,the main problems are the big earners with another year left.Moving some of those on may prove to be a rather large headache.
Think some are forgetting. The pot is only so big. It has a limit.
We were short on bodies last season and for MH to go out and buy/loan /get 14 plus new players to make up a squad Inc the 11 we already have would be expensive and not practical. Keep a few of the players who can do a job (cheap wages) as fill ins, then spend the cash on 9 or 10 decent players.
Btw I'm not convinced there isn't more going out/selling.

Great point Cayton and I agree it?s a delicate balancing act and most Millers want to see what 10 new players come in who will improve the quality but isn?t that what SE was trying to do this time last year after all we were all raving about JCH signing early doors maybe the alarm bells should have been ringing thenQuote:

MH has got a big job his hands are tied to a certain degree due to the big earners Hugill JCH etc but at the same time I think it?s good he knows what ? he?s got to work with let?s cut the guy some slack he?s going to need more than this summer to get the squad he wants hopefully a top half finish would be good maybe a change in training methods to help reduce the injuries
As regards Kayode for all we know it may be a pay as you play contract with a very basic wage? Holmes is worth the gamble and for what it?s worth I don?t think he has been given a chance how many has he started not many

Know where you?re coming from just to add my opinion fwiw I think JCH will be gone before next season starts even if it means he?s back for pre season I know one or two people who have said he and MH don?t get on to say the least and maybe he?ll go out on loan somewhere even if it means we are subsidising his wages Hugill is a different thing I know he?s underachieved(polite way of putting it) but for all his faults he?s always available (when stood up) and rarely gets injured another body if you likeQuote:

I think we have enough experience already in the building maybe 1/2 more but main emphasis needs to be some young guns to go with our own and we can grow them together if you like for example if you can?t learn off the likes of Liam Kelly in training it?s time to pack in
