Have We Signed Anyone Yet?

Clarkey don’t know owt mate I only heard abt was Hartigan but I don’t know if he’s one of them with how things have been lately re signings I’m gonna keep my gob shut even if I knew owt which on this occasion I honestly don’t

My Welsh mole told me we had shown an interest in Swansea's Kyle Joseph (part exchange for Ogbene was mooted) but now the massive Sheffield Wednesday have stuck their snouts in so i guess we can forget that one.Shame because he would have been an excellent signing.

I post there's a imminent. Usually Within 2 days Rufc reveal a signing. There has been 3 signings that haven't come true. Last week the lad who went to udders. Last January a lad with a Italian sounding name who went to Ipswich and a lad from villa who I think went abroad. If people want name addresses and previous clubs then uttis/topsy will oblige

They both are. One is 80%. Other has other clubs to speak to ak my previous "sign or fek off" comment

Warney said after Mansfield game he spoke to two players last week & feels they are really close to signing for us. Hope we have positive news on them soon.

From experience I can sympathise with the management team as trying to recruit as a very small fish is an absolute nightmare. At least in football, once you've got them onboard and under contract you know where you stand but getting to that point is full of pitfalls. In the business I work in, we go through exactly the same rigmarole but have the added disadvantage that employment here is 'at will' so you can go through all the hoops of recruiting people, persuading them the come onboard and having them start the job only to find that two weeks later one of the other 'offers' they have been waiting for has come through so they feck off and you are back to square one :blue:

I didn't take it as a slight m8. I'm one of those posters who if I'm wrong I don't mind admitting it if I'm right, it doesn't matter what others think or say. I would never take offence from what folk post and I'm happy for other peeps opinions.
If you want to judge me on what I post. Ok. That's yours and other choice

Cayton I know from being on here a few years your sources are good whether we sign them or not and I certainly wouldn’t want you to think I’m raining on your parade from my own point of view if I hear anything myself I put it on here purely for the reason other fans might like to know who we are signing and certainly not for any personal glory or to look good
However having read your posts and the good and valid points you make that I think I ought to rein it in a bit especially as in the public domain it MAY jeopardise the deal being completed (unlikely I think but possible)
I know posters like Clarkey think I’m in the know and i thank him for that however I can assure you I haven’t got any “contact or insider info” whatever you wish to call it
I also acknowledge other posters like yourself and Brin and others know bits and pieces and generally keep it quiet for which I think you should be respected
I think from my point of view I look at this place as a message board and think transfers play a big part and they do but I must learn to counter that by not divulging names before the official site has announced it
Conclusion: even though this may disappoint some fellow Madsters I think it best if I try to keep my gob shut for a bit and see what happens the next few weeks till deadline day
It’s going to be hard as I like a bit of transfer gossip!
