What can one say to someone who is blind to reality? Fodder for the rich ex pat elites, if it wasn't so tragic, it would be amusing, oh sorry it is amusing.

Agree with the Brexit comment, Swale.
As far as the DCFC future is concerned I have to disagree. It doesn’t prove anything about the talent coming through because most of that talent simply wasn’t available today. I’ve never seen Duncan play but young players are rarely going to shine in such ‘men against boys’ situations...things can still be very different when they make the step up alongside more experienced ‘minders’.
I wonder what the reaction would have been if one of them had said this?

The UK rejected an offer of visa-free tours by musicians to EU countries, despite blaming Brussels for what the industry is calling the devastating blow of them requiring permits.
A “standard” proposal to exempt performers from the huge cost and bureaucracy for 90 days was turned down, The Independent has been told – because the government is insisting on denying that to EU artists visiting this country.
“It is usually in our agreements with third countries, that [work] visas are not required for musicians. We tried to include it, but the UK said no,” an EU source close to the negotiations said.
The revelation comes after the shock threat of visas sparked protests that future tours will have to abandoned, at a time when musicians are already reeling from the impact of Covid-19.
Musicians (who have never worked in Europe before and are never likely to) have been crying about this for ages. A bit like the kids crying that they can't just go and get a job in Europe. It's the MU's fault, and the reason I cancelled my membership. Instead of campaigning to protect their members rights, they stirred up and went on a no Brexit charade.
I’m sure you and Adi are better equipped to talk about this than me...but if your way of life/means of income is directly impacted upon by Brexit then why was it ‘very silly’ to oppose it?
After all, we’ve heard enough from fisherman, who represent a minuscule part of our economy, in support of Brexit...didn’t hear either of you complain about that.
Once again you only see the negative. Firstly, and I will only talk about the niche I have a strong knowledge of,
maybe 90% of the musicians and support teams would never travel beyond U.K. so it’s not relevant. Secondly, again my genre only, there’s more IMPORT of live music than EXPORT, so any reduction in traffic will be to U.K. musicians benefit. Thirdly there’s a vocal cohort whinging about the situation but (as usual, you may have heard this phrase before) a silent majority who will just fill in the forms and get on with it - and having seen some of the ‘it’, it ranges from a few ticks on a webpage to some nuisance paperwork, BUT please believe me the worst I’ve seen is a tenth as difficult as US requirements.
Regarding fishing, I’ve not commented a lot because I don’t know the deep detail. Maybe if we only posted when we did know such, it would shut a lot of us up a bit but that’s a forlorn hope
