I thought my eyes were deceiving me at first glance, I thought it was an advert for German supermarkets: ALDILIDL] :O

I've watched that Xhaka sending off a few times now, and I can't help thinking the whole episode might have been set up. Xhaka is known to be a hard man operating on a short fuse. Why not, if he clatters you, jump straight up and get in his face, he's not going to back off. And why not have one of the other players step in as peacemaker, and 'accidentally' trip him up. He will blow his top then and no mistake, and who knows what he might do, he might be enraged enough to get himself sent off.

But our lads under Sean would never stoop to stunts like that would they, a Pulis team might, or a Warnock team might, but not our lads, they just wouldn't would they ? It was brilliantly choreographed though, you could almost imagine McNeill and Westwood knew exactly what they were doing. >;)

But of course they didn't.

Tarkowski was brilliant too! He was almost strangled to death by Elmeny, who must surely receive the season's Oscar for play acting the "death dive" following his assault on the Burnley defender. :o

Probably OC, but we all know it happens in professional sport, Lincoln and Joey Barton was a fine example, although that was all open and above board, you could see exactly what the plan was.
I used to know someone on the staff at Blackburn Hawks, he told me of their simple plan to get an opposition hard man, Solihull's Canadian import Ian 'Dog' Pound into the sin bin on a 10 minute penalty. I watched it work a treat in three consecutive games, he fell for it every time. I was reminded of it when McNeill bounced up off the floor and was straight into Xhaka's face, McNeill is as placid a character as they come, that wasn't his usual reaction, just made me think, that's all. >;)
