My frustration is that we still have no identity under Taylor.
Are we a counter attacking, high pressing, long ball, wide playing or any other style side because I cannot tell.
Nothing to add apart from what has been said but if Hugill concentrated on playing football rather than wrestling with centre backs then he’d look like a world beater. It is about balance.
Credit to Odoffin, bramhall and Viktor today.
It was an improvement on last week but not by much. 1-1 was fair enough.
For some reason we seem to have developed a theory that there are teams in this league we should be beating. Everything else taken into account there are no teams we should be beating, however there are teams we need to be beating to survive. If we should beat teams below us then what's the point of the league even carrying on. Leicester and Ipswich should be given promotion now and the rest should pack it in. But they just lost and drew their games so what happened there? We hate it when fans say 'we should be beating teams like Rotherham' so why is it OK for us to say we should be beating teams like SW and QPR. Nobody rolls over in this league and every point we get is a scrap, we know that and today we got one point. Just another 36ish and we'll be safe.
As for PW. I think he was with us so long some fans are still deeply entrenched in their grief over him leaving us. Don't forget he did just that, left us. We didn't sack him. We didn't hound him out. Whatever his tactics were or would have been is immaterial. He's not here any more and that was his choice. People seem to be forgetting that.
That's a good post.
Were are 50+ games in and he seems further away from where we were at 5 games in with him.
He's an aggressively minded manager, which Warne at times was not enough. However, the aggression needs to be channeled to our strengths. It isn't right now.
That’s a really good point and I think that’s what Pocket was alluding to when he says some have become like the wendies.
Onto the game it was low on quality for the most parts. I thought the players gave everything yesterday and we could have won.
I do think we have to play 2 up top especially at home. Kelly can’t do 90 minutes so for me he should still be used as an impact sub.
Nombe played well yesterday when he came on.
Our 2 most influential outfield players Cafu and Rathbone are not playing as well as they have been and I think that’s hurting us a bit.
I can understand the frustration with the manager especially with our style of play it’s confusing.
For me though he should still be given more games it’s not inconceivable we can win Tuesday.
Agree about the atmosphere it’s dead.
Morrison man of match for me yesterday.
QPR fans disgusting for the minutes silence some at the front were just ignorant even their own fans telling them to shut up.
All this talk at the start of pre-season about establishing ourselves in this League - never going to happen. Are there 3 worst teams than us? No. Face it, we are the Luton of the Championship. I like MT but some of his decisions are baffling, top of the list being sending Kioso out on loan in July. Some of the new signings aren’t as good as advertised. I remember seeing a highlight reel of Christ before he joined, I am not sure it is the same player. Dexter can’t defend. Green contributed nothing. Nombe looks lost.
I would like to know what our coaching staff do during the week.
Despite everything, I would stick with Taylor, because we need a bit of stability. I just wish we would go down fighting. UTM.
But we should be beating teams like SW and QPR ?Not because of who they are, but because of where they are in the league ! they are at the bottom for a reason, like us, because they have not won many points, so in the theory the best chance for us to get points we have now played them both in a week and only picked up 1 point which is not good enough for us to stay up ! We now have Ipswich, Leeds and Watford coming up, how many points are we expected to pick up from (teams like these) ?
