Durham would have had a field day at the quality of defending. Schoolboy stuff.

Because he knew with the squad we had in the NL last season it was highly likely he'd get a promotion under his belt. To me it seems he used us as a stepping stone back to Swansea. He was always going to go back to swansea even if we were top of the league by 10 points. The Notts job was never a long term project for him the same way we see it.

Great to hear Stu and the team will be moving to Nottingham, shows true commitment.

Don't think we were a stepping stone. Swansea might not have been looking for a new man for years. He was at MK Dons & Swindon both a good distance from Swansea.

Clearly we expect successful managers to commit their life to the club but be ready to be hounded out on any run of bad results. Whilst I admire Stu for showing his commitment he could be looking for a job down south again this time next year with all the disruption that brings for his wife and daughter. I suppose he and his family might have taken the attitude that he's got to give it his all and so not have separation of family as an excuse for failure.

A bigger club in or around South Wales might have been the only thing that would have taken LW away. OP67 would need to ask the owners as no doubt that was all covered in their discussions.

Man gets job, good at job, gets better job. Nothing to see here. Move on.

I was bumming around India when that happened so missed it the guy took his goal well though. Norman Hunter did say he'd flocked up big time.
I always remember N Hunter running the full length of Elland Road to applaud Notts defenders of the pitch when we beat them in the cup,great character.

Wonder if anyone thought, good riddance to him the traitor when Jimmy left for Sheffield United

Is any job a long term one in football ?

"Highly likely" - I wouldnt say that is true as its a hard league to get out of as we know.

Ideally you live in the City but doesnt Rawlo live in Wales too ?

i thought it was Jodi Jones against Boreham wood and Archie mair with his fine penelty saves i , and in the season Langstaff and Scots 60 goals that got us promoted
Put it another way if LW was given the same team as IB, i doubt he would have got us promoted, and if IB had the same team as LW he would have probably got us promoted

In fact the brilliant save by Archie mairs foot was the save that gave us promotion, the commentator even said it was the best penelty save ever seen in the National League
