School / College is free, University is not… the Govt “loan” the cost of the course fees & also a student grant which is means tested.. my Daughter owes about £45k to the Govt and will be paying it off when she hits a certain salary level as a %.. most are never fully repaid as there is a time limit.. that is their debt…
Living in Student Accommodation is not cheap & Leeds is not really commutable every day nor does it give the student life…
He gets about £5k a year grant & his accommodation is over £9k… that is without money to live, food, drinks, clothes etc…

Sadly, it also proved to be his last race, as Frank suffered a fatal heart attack towards the end of it.
Despite his sudden death, Frank’s body remained in the saddle while his horse, a 20-to-1 underdog named Sweet Kiss, jumped the final fence and crossed the finish line, winning by a head.

That’s the kind of story that I like Alf,it made me investigate further,there was no rules to say that the jockey should be alive when he passed over the winning line so the result stood,the horse was never raced agsin and was nicknamed The Sweet Kiss of Desth afterwards
