Not seen enough for a clear judgement, but would Martin do better in a roaming role? Thought he played so well at Cheltenham in that role and was surprised to see him not in the role again.
There’s definitely a player in there who can pass and move and I’d like to see more of him across the middle to see if he can cut it regularly.

I was impressed by Martin in the first half today. Set up the goal and got forward well. it’s taken him a while, but he’s now up to speed and seems worthy of a contract until the end of the season. Brown, on the other hand, probably needs sending back to Bristol Rovers. If he couldn’t get on the pitch today, when we were desperate for fresh legs and someone to hold the ball up, he’s never going to be any use.

As for the other absentees, do we know what the problems are with Robertson, Scott, Gordon, Macari, Ness and Tsaroulla? Robertson and Gordon in particular seem to have completely vanished.

Thanks. Robertson has become the forgotten man - and I had high hopes for him going into the season.

... well, Mr Crowley...I'm minded to recall a comment by Brian Clough about Asa Hartford - '...he lends you the ball (and wants it back when he demands ...)' Undoubtedly talented, I suspect many give him the kid gloves treatment in case he throws a mardy. Well sorry Mr C, you aren't quite as good as you think you are. We witnessed his intent on keeping the ball instead of doing the simple thing; like on numerous occasions this season, not passing to Sam Austin who is clear in space. It's like a switch goes on in his head, as if somebody told him to never do the obvious. If he actually believes that then yes, somebody does need to give him a kick up the backside, or leave him out if he won't take the message on board. If I were the opposition, I would love to see DC on the ball, especially when in a deeper position, as it gives them time to recover/cover their defensive positions. Perhaps SM/coaches should sit him down and show the effect he has on his team mates and the opposition - it's gone on long enough. Frankly, for me, he can go. There will be another half dozen players who can be better team players and get the results the team needs.

Cowley's value will pirouette, just like him but downwards if he doesn't quit the showboating, nobody like it unless we're five nil up.

Correct about the obvious pass but sometimes he would have been far better to make any pass rather than get caught by dwelling on the ball.
Perhaps Nistelrooy is thinking of making a bid😊. More likely though he was looking at the Leagues young top striker Nathan Lowe who is on loan to Walsall from Stoke City.

He is obviously a very talented player.
But looking at yesterdays performance in isolation was he was he a positive or a negative?

Come on let?s have it right whether you think he's a showboater, ball greedy, arrogant etc etc we are a lot better side with him in it. I?m pretty sure we have got more points when he?s playing than when he?s not.
