Baggieblood,
You wrote in a post a few days ago,
"The post you refer to wasn't written by me on Armistice day, you just chose to respond to it then directing your post at me, so that wasn't personal to me?" There it is, you say, it was not written by yo, it was, on Armistice Day, it was.
Re your Grandfather, " you perceive it", so you did not evaluate the content of that sentence to be a general given that most have family that have fought in wars, and you took it personally. That really does not stand up and I fail to how you came to that conclusion.
You are asking me, what did I do about those off football topic homophobic comments?
You have brought racism and homophobia into previous threads with other posters. I do tend to avoid these types of posts as they they can lead to people making comments about others in a personal way, unlike the post I made last year, which highlighted the hatred in football fans on the anniversary that war was declared over. If you fail to see that then so be it.
I have gay relatives and acquaintances who I socialise with. I have no issue with any person of any race, colour or creed. I have lived and worked with people from all over the world harmoniously.
Just one last thing, and I think this is where you and I differ most.
You say, in respect of your Grandfather, and me suggesting that most have relatives who fought or were lost during the wars, that you perceived it, you took it personally, at least I think that is what you are saying.
If I did the same in respect of your question asking me to explain in respect of racism and homophobia, I could have taken that out of context and perceived you were suggesting that I was either a racist or homophobe or both. I chose not to because I did not believe thats what you were suggesting.
I see we have agreed on one thing. On the Moore in/out thread.
