Exactly,that's why he got the new contract in the 1st place.To bump the price up.If the club and Ashley didn't want him gone I am sure the helicopter wouldn't have been available.

Of Ashley didn't want to sell he wouldn't have gone full stop ,he was under contract

So although that deal might have been what was best for the club/owner, it was a deal that showed we were not to be messed with when clubs come a calling for bargains.

Relegated twice under him and champions twice under him, immediately.
As for debt, the debt is 99% his money and very little external debt.
