Im maybe getting it wrong here in my understanding of Livi and Toni's ownership, but as far as my knowledge allows, this isnt a restaurant opening for a 30 entitled members of the public, this is employees of a company using the facilities of another company owned by the same person.

Hotels are still being used for essential purposes and providing food for their patrons, whether that is residents or companies arranging essential meetings and training sessions. Any teams that require a meal prior to an away match im sure would come under the same rules.

Tried to find out what utd do for pre match meals in lockdown but can't find anything online I'm not to good at finding stuff.Did find a story about jim goodwins wife making sandwichs for stmirren for there match in dingwall just after christmas because they could not use hotel they had booked because of lockdown.

It should only be essential workers and those with a legitimate reason who are using hotels and those residents are provided with the meals they need. Companies/organizations who are deemed to be essential and need the use of suitable facilities for essential training, where that cannot be done around social distancing rules within said organization, they are using hotels with those facilities and catering is provided.

Like Budmill has said, if we want professional sport to continue, there has to be flexibility, and i really dont see the issue with the team who play in the Toni Macaroni stadium, having their away pre-match meal in a Toni Macaroni restaurant.

Think the problem with them having there meal in a resturant is it's against the law no matter who pays to name there stadium.Same as was against the law for rita ora to have a birthday bash.law says resturants are not allowed to open in lockdown you disagree with that fair enough but the law is the law.

Feed them? Pre-match? WTAF??

Vaccine positivity!

99% of older adults care home residents, 89% staff.
93% of all adults care home residents, 77% staff.
92% of over 80s in the community.
47% of 75-79s in the community.
16% of 70-74s in the community.

Fingers crossed we keep this going, but we need to get on with the second doses.

I am more than happy to wait on the second jag so as more can get the first mate,my elderly relative got covid in a care home but fortunately had been given the first dose and the only symptoms to date have been tiredness.
That's an FN miracle mate as they are in their 80's,in my opinion without the pfizer it could have been fatal.

And i dont want to be taking my place in the que when i know there are many before me who should have had their second dose. There is a good chance i will get my first dose before my father or people like yourself get their second, and that doesnt sit right with me.

But it sits right with me that one dose has saved my relative from the ICU which tells me although not 100% protected they have never been in any danger of passing away.In one massive study done involving thousands not one person died of the virus who had one jag but loads did pass away who only got the placebo.

And it seems the more folk who have at least one jab affects the propensity of the virus in the community, which is great.

Honestly, working in the face of this for almost a year now. The process locally around the vaccines has provided such massive change. We have reduced our inpatient numbers by around 50% (with vaccines and lockdown) and perhaps as importantly given a huge shot of enthusiasm to a workforce that were genuinely exhausted and struggling. The hint of a light at the end of the tunnel is an incredible boost and can't be underestimated in its impact. I see my colleagues and myself with increased energy and fortitude for what feels like the final push towards brighter days.

It actually makes me pretty emotional seeing the collective response of our local community both in obeying lockdown and in taking up the vaccine.

Last figures I saw showed a 75% reduction in case positivity in Dundee/Tayside in just 6 weeks. That is incredible. I know how hard everyone finds this, and other threads on this board highlight just how hard it is and how it effects individuals. I just hope the knowledge of how effective all this sacrifice has been, and how appreciated it is by those on the "front line", is some comfort to those who are struggling most.

In contrast to the most famous quote (I am about to misquote), I genuinely believe never has so much been owed by so many for the actions of so many.

Everyone in our community deserves huge credit for all they are doing to help get us out of this. We are suffering as individuals and as a society but it is making a massive difference.

I know none of you personally, but I know that whenever I eventually get back into Tannadice I feel even more connected to all around me. I can't wait for that day.
