No relation I fear. Jordan's "work of fiction" comments stem from a few days ago.
That comment has also cause confusion online. A lot of people seem to have taken it to mean that the reports of Boro making a claim are a work of fiction, ie. they haven't made a claim. I took it to mean that the content is a WOF.
Regrettably local journalism has declined to the point where its virtually non existent, Reach (also known as retch!) have taken over most regional papers and it seems there is little reporting, much trawling of the tinternet and reproducing rubbish thats on there.
Sadly the BBC seem to be going down the same road, centralising regional news and I fear we shall be all the poorer. Much media these days seems to be Op Eds written by people being controversial for the sake of it, the likes of Liddle, Clarkson et al make money from just writing any old **** that comes into their heads, I'm pretty sure they don't believe half of what they write.
But of course our current (if only for a short while!) PM was a master of this type of journalism, writing utter bull**** and lies. Amazed he actually got sacked twice for lying, when most of the stuff he wrote had no factual basis. Just for balance some of the stuff written in the Grauniad beggars belief, again just opinion and pap with little factual basis - Adrian Chiles writes a column and jeez its pointless drivel which I no longer bother reading.

It’s at the serious stage now … either someone puts funds in and tries to sort out the problems … or players will have to be sold.

So along the lines of we have made excellent progress and hope to name a preferred bidder imminently next week
Rooney had indicated that the preferred buyer would be announced today. I now hope that happens and they immediately put £5M into the club as a show of good faith.....
Why? John Percy reporting that Jagielka's contract, due to expire on Monday, has been cancelled and Jags can't play against Sheff U tomorrow.
If this is true, would it point to Admin NOT having sufficient funds to complete the season?
The Percy Tweet doesn't, however, say WHO cancelled the contract. DCFC/Admin/EFL. I'd imagine EFL or he would have been eligible to play tomorrow.
Twas the EFL as part of a new transfer embargo. I'd love to know how cancelling the last 3 days of Jags contract fits into that.....
Gibson, is definitely being vindictive.
As long as the chance of a law suit is there, there will be no sale. He can't do anything now, as DCFC are in administration. But any potenial buyer would inherit said lawsuit.
I don't believe he'd accept a pay off either.
What I want to know is( as does Championship clubs), is how DCFC can resist offers for players?
Administration is about recovering debts owed.
Cash is cash and yet they dither on this causing more obstructions?
As for Rooney, he is either being updated wrongly and badly. Or he is failing to understand the gravity of it all.
I actually now believe, that it would have been better for DCFC to have been relegated last season and start again.
My sons inlaws, were full of it, £100k fine/MM is a genius/ got the EFL as his puppets, heard it all.
They certainly aren't laughing now.
