They're making a big song and dance over it because they're fighting relegation, if they were mid table then you wouldn't have heard a peep. It's funny reading the part about VAR or Atwell being a Luton fan and implying there was some bias they're all up in arms yet we had 3 none accountants on a panel that found us guilty of accounting differently to others despite that method not being illegal AND those accounts being signed off by the EFL for 3 years and they told us to suck it up the take the medicine.
What comes around goes around
They are, and what something like that demonstrates is we remember the decisions that go against us, especially when they matter, rather than those that go for us. We all do it. I know it's been said but mention Huddersfield to them and they have zero interest in debating those decisions.
The thing is as fans we can say this stuff to each other, I can say to my mate things in the pub that a club shouldn't say in public.
the story here is not var, it's a club going on record making accusations of bias and cheating.
Rumours going the rounds on the "socials" that the ref appointed for their game this weekend against Citeh once owned a Luton van and the Red Dogs have asked for him to be replaced to remove any possible conflict of interest :)
Perhaps you'd like to recall the UEFA CUP SEMI, against Anderlecht?
2-0 UP FIRST LEG. 2nd leg, a blatent cheating penalty awarded and a last minute goal ruled out for pushing? He pushed his own player.
Forest complained, EUFA went mad and said don't ever question the honesty of our officials.
After he popped his clogs, the refs widow admitted Anderlecht had "loaned " him 27k for an extension, that he never paid back.
Don't kid yourself it doesn't go on. It does.
A bent ref is one thing, but the league committee themselves are rigging the outcome of leagues and cups, That's certain.
Maybe, who knows?
But it was definitly crooked.
Congratulations on promotion BTW.
Real question though now. Will you stick with Warne? He has done well, but his track record of yo yo promotions will come under scrutiny again.
The champs is as bad as the prem in gulf of player spend/abilitys.
We'll see if theleague still has a grudge against DCFC as well. VAR now in place.
Forest appeal unsuccessful. Prepare for incoming conspiracy theories! ;)
Wonder if there will be another statement.
Didn't see one from them at the weekend when VAR was on their side with dubious calls. Maybe the bullying approach from them is paying dividends.
