Hes had 6 months and 1 transfer window.

Now, he deserves criticism along with the rest of them for today especially as that was disgraceful, but we all know and agreed its a long term project and would take time to let him get the squad together he needs to play the way he wants.

What he did early on was pretty miraculous - as recent form has clearly shown - and to be honest, I dont think theres one player in the squad he inherited who hed really want as a player ideally suited to the style he wants to play, but to change out a whole squad is going to take a couple of years - thats just reality.

Hes shown what he can do given that time at Elfsborg, so he needs the same opportunity here. We cant just keep changing managers, especially one with an actual track record.

January is important though, so fingers crossed we can get some of the long term fixes in - though the way it is just now, some short term fixes will work too.

Quite a few folk posting about time up for Jimmy tonight.

I get the feeling they like us best when struggling. It's nuts.

I've posted that the results today and last Saturday are on him, but we have to give him time.

It was always going to be a tough season after the slog of last season and our winning run was just a skim coating over the cracks.

We need improvement all over the pitch, but it is our midfield that is causing me the biggest concern.

I totally agree with that as well moog.

That would be one of my main concerns with Thelin so far in he seems to have completely ignored any of the young players coming through.

I?m not a huge expert in the youth team but they did win the league and Boyd scored a few goals at the end of last season but seems to have been completely forgotten about.

I would rather give these young guys a chance instead of persisting with some of the first team players who are letting us down.

It seemed to me that Ambrose's inclusion was one more out of desperation than anything else. Jimmy has tried starting Nisbet and Sokler on many occasions and more often than not it hasn't worked out so he's hoped for a miracle from Ambrose and sadly it went the way that we all knew it would when we saw the starting line up, how he came out for the 2nd half though baffles me due to Jimmy's attitude to changing things up at the break.

Once again starting with Shinnie and Nielsen puzzles me, IF we were on this run of form but those 2 were still performing well then I could understand it but they aren't and haven't been for some time. With Palaversa and Polvara as capable replacements I was really expecting one, if not both of them to be in the starting 11.

For me it would be game over for McGrath & McKenzie (if they both don't sign up). Ambrose punted out on loan, Nisbet shipped back to Millwall & Duk used very sparingly as he won't be here long term.

Essentially in this window we really need 2 central defenders with experience to bring on Rubi and Molloy, an actual striker, a right winger, cover for Devlin and a utility player who can cover a few positions. Highly doubtful we'll be able to get all of them in this window but we should be striving to get at least 4 bodies in with the right attitude to address this slump.

Time up for Jimmy is just ridiculous.

Embarrassing hyperbolic nonsense.

I just saw his Red TV interview. He kept a lid on it as youd expect, but it was very clear he was absolutely raging at that - as he should be.

So wed better see some major changes for Sunday - midfield especially. Even ignoring the fact theyve been gash the last couple of games, Shinnie & Nilssen cant play another game in 3 days time, so Id start Palaversa and Polvara in the middle. Maybe Clarkson in for McGrath as he did a few decent things when he came on again. At least tried to create & get us forward.

The Defence is what it is (thats my biggest area of concern) as is up front, so only possible meaningful changes are in the middle.

Got to try something to shake them up a bit.

Agree wi' maist o' that .... there's nae much ye can expect fae strikers, or any forward if creativity in midfield is lackin' .... Defensively, we are obviously weak .... however, on a few occasions today, I felt they were pretty poorly supported ... hung out to dry, if ye like.... two of said instances led to goals conceded.

We've shown sufficiently in our earlier games we can play, defend and break as a unit ... but lately, it seems that opposition teams have learned that if they get 'in our face' and pressurise us swiftly and aggressively, our decision making, and any cohesiveness goes 'oot the windae'..... tae the point we can barely execute a decent pass in oor ain half - let alone a clever ball intae the opposition box.

Nilsen in particular has gone fae Jeckyll tae Hyde in spectacular fashion... which, (whilst nae 'defendin oor defenders' ...) disna help much.

A dinna ken the solution ... ither than a plan B is urgently required.

I thought Shinnie and Nilsen started off the season well but they are both 33 and neither should never be starting every game. I would rotate them along side Palaversa but maybe there?s fitness issues with him if he can?t start regularly?

My biggest concern is who is having a say in the players we are signing. I still don?t think Jimmy Thelin knew who Kevin Nisbet was when he walked into Cormack Park in August.

When he came off the bench against Dundee and scored and got an assist Thelin was singing his praises about how well he had done in his appearance off the bench that day.

His performances since that game would suggest that the rumours are true about him having an attitude problem.
