Notts are a fresher team with quite abit of youth compared to the last few years we had people way past their best and were useless in the field.
Also our overseas players have all been major hits that helps too.

Disappointing defeat today which cuts our lead at the top to 3 points. We had too many failures with the bat, the pitch offered nothing and we shouldn't have been bowled out twice.
Terribly sorry Elite, but that defeat was all my fault. I hadn’t looked at the score all day until tea time when Notts were something like 305-5, 40 runs ahead and still with 5 wickets left. I thought there’s every chance we are going to bat this game out or get a big enough lead to make it impossible for Durham to score the required runs even if we do get bowled out. Finally, I had a Notts red ball cricket team with guts of whom I could be proud of again. Unfortunately, the rest, as they say, is history.
Interesting day up at Leeds. After being put in Notts posted a modest 228, but the pitch offered a lot to the bowlers so it might turn out to be a decent score. That left Yorkshire with 12 overs to negotiate, and they slumped to 10/2 with Abbas taking both wickets. He could be the key player tomorrow.
Chipping away towards another victory
Provided it doesn't rain tomorrow it will almost certainly be another victory for Notts before we head into the T20'S
I watched the Yorkshire second innings. Chilly afternoon with a breeze and some stronger gusts, but nice when the sun was shining. Abbas and Hutton bowled well without any luck. Pennington was a bit loose but deserved his two wickets. Patterson-White was excellent. Forecast for Monday is iffy, showers possible in the morning and likely later in the day.
