We've been rubbish all season. The only difference is that in August to October in games when we scored first we used to hold on to by good defending and a good few lucky breaks.
Hopefully we have enough points now to finish 10th. Which is still better than where I thought we would finish this season.

Can't be bothered trying to explain my opinion. Sorry...
"Hopefully we have enough points now to finish 10th."
It would take some collapse fir St Johnstone to catch anyone now. You never know but.
St. John and Dundee results are always the ones I check first.
Same old same old.
Horrific tonight.
No urgency.
The forward players are not good enough.
What does McNulty and Clark have to do to not get game time.
Harkes was very poor
no pace, no width, no urgency, poor passing, can't keep possession and an inability to take our limited chances.
Same last season, same this season and going to be the same until we actually address it in a transfer window.
No point moaning about it now....you canny polish a jobby!
Regrettably I totally Agree
I will say this now and its not just said in anger or disappointment due to tonight's result/ performance.
IMO me will not finish in top 6 because we are NOT a good side !
Ive actually no idea how we are even still where we are ... well actually I do know its because we are blessed with a very good keeper without whom , make no mistake , we would be battling it out with the fermers and the dee's for the wooden spoon .
I also agree that we have carried a lot of luck this season , particularly in the early part , which thankfully allowed us enough points on the board to ensure we wont ( Touch wood ) be dragged in to a relegation battle .
But looking back at the recent run of games , and if we are being honest ,aside from Motherwell at home there's not 1 match that i have come away from thinking we are actually a better side than the opposition and that has got to be a worry .
Despite Tams bizarre claims to the contrary ,last week against a poor and struggling Aberdeen side only their poor finishing stopped them taking all 3 points ..
Yes we got a good draw against SEVCO but the fact is they battered us and simply couldn't find a second goal ..
We weren't any better than what is a terrible St Johstone side when we played them ..
We were second best for the first 70mins of the Derby up until an overweight old man went off at which point we finally managed to take control of the midfield and came in to the game
and even when we beat Ross County at home ive got to be honest and say had they taken all 3 points it wouldn't have been undeserved
When we play the ugly sisters we have did well but if you break it down thats because one thing we are is well organized most of the time . So we can can get behind the ball and become hard to break down without really creating much .
But for me that is papering over cracks because against the other sides in the league we have shown ourselves incapable of looking anything other than a bang average side ... albeit with a very good goalie.
At the start of the season when Tam was announced as head coach where did you see us being at this stage of the season? I’ll bet it was probably second bottom or bottom, the bookies all thought the same. We have been pish but also stubborn and hard to break down. If someone said 6th with 9 games to go you’d have bitten off their hand(I know I would’ve).
Tam was/is probably fearful of getting relegated in his first season ever as manager so it’s no surprise he’s taken the cautious approach which probably stems from the 5-2 pumping from Hearts in much the same way as the previous season with the 4 goal pumping Killie gave Mellon’s team.
I’m no sticking up for him but can understand the caution. I will say if we comfortably stay up and it continues into next season with no change then he deserves punting.
I thought was not a great perfomance v sheep but we got a point even if i thought we were bit lucky but hey still a point, but then i read what Courts said after the game and the one yest i think first one after sheep, you know when we are improving when you expect more than a point, that was just a cookoo comment, then one yest was even better, only the top 3 in the league should be thinkking about europe.. that was an ffs comment.
That got me thinking what has Courts actually contributed to making united better, i think we are tighter at the back and got a decent keeper, but are we better at the back, maybe got nothing to do with coaching more to do with the 3 defenders actually know how to defend, and we have a proper keeper. I am not saying Courts might become a decent manager in the future, but right now in my eyes he has not done one single fkn thing to make us a better team than least season..25 goals scored and we are near end season... that is fk sh1t and that is being kind.
