We could have been second in the Championship by now 😃

At least when Portsmouth postponed the fixture last season.they entertained reimbursement claims on a case by case basis.for travel,hotels that fans lost out on…

As the 'brand' EFL should be made to pay all compensation claims and then it might put a rocket up their arses to get things in order.

It would seem a solution has been agreed between Coventry City & their landlords Wasps, after the
mayor of Coventry intervened in the dispute over the state of the pitch, it has not been shared what
the solution is as yet.

It would seem that Wasps the owners of the Coventry Building Society Arena have money
problems according to the Times newspaper.
The Times newspaper reported that Wasps are in default regarding a £35m bond, after
failing to repay retail investors, who financed the purchasing of the Coventry Building Society
Arena in 2015.
An initial repayment deadline had been set for May of this year, but the London Stock Exchange
have since suspended the bond, due to failure of payment.
A new deadline of 12th August was granted, but Wasps outlined they would miss that date, due
not being able to agree terms for refinancing.
Wasps finance say, they were pursuing different refinancing options regarding talks with HSBC.

* Have we another Derby County saga on the horizon, after Coventry City football club owners
SISU the hedge fund owners, being open to offers for the club.
Simon Jordan the ex Crystal Palace owner was said to be interested, but early days it would seem.
It was mentioned for someone to buy the stadium, & then sort the pitch out, but would anyone
want to take it on, when there is a finance bond of £35m on it.

Is someone else paying for a new pitch being laid?

This to me is storing up a real problem.

The delay in tackling it means that Coventry are storing up home games . At the end of the season that could prove to unbalance the promotion/ relegation battles as Coventry play out a run of home games.

If we for example were struggling to stay in the division but knew that 5 out of the last 6 games would be at the NYS. Then we would have an unfair advantage on the others.

Good point which won’t bother EFL

What if the EFL got their heads together, & said if a game can not be played, award each team 1 point,
so how it stands Coventry would have 2 points, while Rotherham & Wigan would have received 1 point,
which would put pressure on Coventry City, with what looks like some more games to be postponed.
No catch up games to be played, with Coventry City having the pressure of relegation with games being
cancelled at home.
