A shared philosophy, MA…and a wise one.

Saw the recipe posts from GP and had to check I'd not landed on mumsnet by accident lol
Not one I adopted from my parents, both of whom had very much an "act your age" mantra. I know that would be their first thought to me still going "clubbing" occasionally and DJing and that I was still running marathons and half marathons and playing football into my early 50s. Cycling as much as I do to keep fit would also have been frowned upon.
"Act yer bluddy age" I can hear them say. My retort would be I am.
It's amazing how people change by generation. I'm nothing like my Dad was when he was my age, like you fitness is a big thing for me. But my parents hit theirs 50s and decided they were old and started acting old.
Don't get me wrong I'd love to he as able as my dad is if I get to 86 though. He's nothing like his dad was when he was in his 80s.
They say 40 is the new 30, 50 the new 40 and so on and I think its right
Good philosophy which I try to stick to, but which has come unstuck for me twice this year attempting to resurrect my football ‘career’. Have you come across Man v Fat football? I went for a taster session, all I tasted was my own blood in my mouth after being dumped on the turf three times in as many minutes. There are some seriously ****-hot and hard as nails fat footballers around locally! PS I also failed MY ‘audition’ due to having too low(!) a BMI
Oh behave, it was mild to what he dished out. The saying goes, can't take it, don't give it.
The things he implied at Jacksdale, from basically calling him a nonce and Nazi were telling. Then the fact he had 8 aliasas, giving out his ****e seems to have gone over your head.
