Think we might yet bring in another signing before the window closes. We were obviously planning to bring in Maloney, so there's definitely money there for a decent wage, and probably a small transfer fee. It is all about finding the right player in the right position though - no point just blowing cash for the sake of making a signing.
I could see Storey disappearing before the window closes, so I'd guess it would be a forward coming in. I still think we should've taken a punt on Scott McDonald - he's the kind of forward we could do with and even at 34 or whatever he is, he'd have banged in a lot of goals for us. Another option would've been Anthony Stokes, but he's gone to Hibs now.
Got a feeling McLean will be off to Rangers in the January window, so McInnes may choose to hold back and save some cash for a replacement for him then, if there's nobody about who he feels can improve things now.
Stevie May was an unused sub in Preston's league game at the weekend and doesn't even make the bench in today's guffy Diddy cup game. Just an observation.
Bring him home - slot him into the right of the am3 with Christie and MSteven and Roooooney will register a record tally.
My gut feeling is May is finished!
Catch up min, June n July r finished n a!
Not convinced we'll be signing anyone else now, unless someone leaves. If McLean goes, McInnes will no doubt have one or two potential replacements in mind. Given that Stockley and Storey have both had game time early in the season it seems that they're still in McInnes' thinking, so doubt they'll move. I expect we might end up with another loan player - maybe defensive. Or it'll be a squad filler type player, rather than any other big names. Expect we'll sign someone in January for a small fee.
We need a striker who can, u know, score ƒucking goals, jesus...
Get rid of all of the following :
Storey
Stockley
Maynard (looking ominous)
and pay the money for Moult.
Easy no?
