Shows how seriously they are taking the league.
Suppose a £36 million carrot helps.
7 changes from Bournemouth match, still loads of firepower and talent.
Its going to be a tough game on Tuesday, can't wait. UTM:D

7 changes but to be honest none of the players that came in are what you'd class as fringe players. With the exception of the goalie, most of them have featured heavily this season or are new players, Warnock and Lingard for instance. I noticed he rested Ince and Hughes though today, two players who could really hurt us.
Derby probably have the best squad in the league in my view and I expect them to go up as champions but if we can get in their faces no reason why we can't get something Tuesday night.
Should be a cracking game, looking forward to it.
Hmmm...
Derby at home on a Tuesday night in February. Deja Vue anybody? Is Gerry available to put his stamp on midfield?
Was that the sending off very early after breaking the full backs leg?
How the game has changed. Hardly any contact now by comparison, but loads of diving and rolling about.
Like CAM says, a forgone conclusion, 2-1 to the boys in Red.
It was his home debut and the sending off was inside a couple of minutes, after already having been booked inside the first 10 seconds if I remember right.Quote:

Oooh, remember it well, if only the same could happen, couldn't though, could it?
I always thought that and have reported that he was given a straight red in about 30 seconds - I don't recall him being booked first, but I was only young and probably messing about too.
It was definitely for a second booking.
Ronnie even missed a penalty that night if I remember correctly!
Every team in the Championship is beatable. So many games are decided on fine margins. We have ourselves 'only just been beaten' on a number of occasions, Blackburn the most recent example.
The first goal is often critical particularly against the top sides. We have started to look dangerous as a counter attacking team particularly when in the lead. A weeks rest will do us good. We need to go into this game with the right mental attitude - we are good enough to beat them, they have plenty to worry about with an in form Derbyshire and home support which always makes NYS Rock on the big match occasions as this is.
I recall that Gerry Gow sending off. The tackle he made was horrendous. One of the worst I've ever seen.
The winning February was marvellous. I will never forget the driving rain at Oldham in a fabulous 3-0 win. The momentum we gathered was terrific. For me, only one such sequence has bettered it - that 5 match winning run concluding with promotion at NYS against Aldershot.
