I hope they win today. Fantastic scenes outside Anfield as the team coach arrived and a real expectation that the league title could be theirs.
I can think of 96 reasons why they should be crowned winners this season.

I hope they win as well and go on to win the league a great side to watch very entertaining with young talent.
Liverpool 1 up. Great goal by Sterling following an emotional build up to kick off. I don't care who you support, the tribute to the 96 was something special.
Hate Liverpoo almost as much as the Skates, but looks increasingly like they will win the league. :blue:
Must admit they play some good stuff though.
Id rather a southern team won it. I dont like liverpoo and I'm sick of hearing about Hillsborough. It happened, it was tragic that so many died, but it was a long time ago and many people have died since...do they all have a big memorial every year? NO!
Time everybody moved on, just my opinion.
Hope Chelsea win the title.
Lovely sentiments tanky boy. Gives me faith in fellow humans that does...get over it it was ages ago...i take it you dont wear a poppy every year then? Nasty boy
I sort of understand PF's view up to a point, where is the Bradford tribute for instance? But I don't think Hillsborough and Liverpool's attempt at the title this year need to be connected anyway.
Thanks to the BBC's love affair with Liverpool and OTT obsession in the past (for instance a whole season of 'Liverpool in Europe' and just about ignoring every other team) I never wanted them to win anything but times have changed and they are playing some decent stuff too - so why not?
Oh so we're comparing Hillsborough to the holocaust now are we? Don't be so f*cking ridiculous! It's my opinion that too much is being said about it nowadays. Of course the victims relatives should mark it each year, but the subject as a whole is in the news everyday. There are sadly far worse things going on in the world NOW with far less coverage. It's an opinion, I don't care if you disagree.Quote:

I think the difference, media wise, with the 96 and the fire is that there's never been any 'closure'...from the lying police to the slanderous 'sun' etc...that's surely why it's been so exposed, vilafied and discussed for 25 years. Maybe...or is it a love affair with liverpool? Common sense ought to prevail on this question.
