Manure match thread

So it finished 1-1. Not the worst end of season, meaningless, game of football, and one we could, and should, have won.

Strange taking Lallana and Shaw off so early. It took away our attacking threat and added little in terms of defence. I can only assume it was an opportunity for the pair of them to receive individual recognition from four sides of the stadium - a final farewell if you will :blue:

Freddie sounded positive during his post match interview on Solent, but reading between the lines I'd wager Adam won't be a Saint this time next week.

At the start of the campaign I'd have taken 8th all day long. It's been the most enjoyable season of top flight football I've enjoyed for many a year.

Let's hope next seasons even better :P

I expect both to leave and personally I'll find that hard to accept. Seeing Lallana and Shaw play opposite us next season will seem rather odd but we'll have to get used to it I suppose.

Great first half, not so good second.

It was a weird atmosphere today, obviously a happy mood over such a good season, but tinged with a realisation that this could be the end of an era and a degree of anxiety.

Personally I don't think Lallana himself really knows what he will do yet and I think people can read too much into the subs/players waving etc.

Just have to wait and see how the summer plays out.

How much would you think was reasonable, for either player?

If he goes, then let's get a 30m training facility and a few beers to boot at the very least.

That would make an interesting opening negociation point.

We'll it certainly trumps po**eys efforts re a new training ground. I see the bucket rattlers are out again on the beg for yet more 'investments' from the few for new jumpers and goalposts.
