It would seem to some pea brains that any story about any club, or in fact anything is an opportunity to have a cheap and very simplistic dig at your best friends.
Brockley. Your debate challenge is...
What do you think the scenario would have been if your knight in shining armour had not come along at the tenth hour and saved you. Also paying all your debts, a fact that Saints fans seem most proud of, as if they had anything to do with it.
Over to you. Prove that you can think for yourself and not just with the multi user plums.

what a tool.
Hardly seem fair doesn't it.Feel sorry for the fans.
Why weren't Pompey wound up for unpaid taxes ?
Happy for a 'debate' Simon, but here's the caveat.
Any if, but, should ,would or any of those other pompey wannabe scenario's are out. Why? They've been done to death on here. They weren't interesting first, third or the umpteenth time. If you want to engage someone on either of these points, might I suggest Fratton Faithful to air it, not here?
Rule #1 of debate is that your chosen opponent needs to have an interest in the topic.
I've just paid my tax bill for 13/14 last week, honestly, without fuss and well within the given timeframe. I believe that makes me better than portsmouth fc. O:)
Poor old Hereford. You should look at them and consider your disgrace of a club very fortunate. :blue:
Okay. My caveat.
The person debating should be able to be open minded, listen to other's points of view, be prepared to be mistaken, open to learn and not so small minded that their entrenched views block everything else.
You have shown yourself to have none of these skills. A little disappointing but strangely not any surprise.
Also, as you so clearly pointed out, these subjects have been done to death and was nothing to do with the question I actually asked you. Yet again, a Southampton fan can only regurgitate the ill-informed and simplistic 'facts' , yet cannot for a second look at what happened to their own club and the interesting 'What if' scenario.
You have just promoted yourself into the tiny pea brained 3 to 4 Saints non-thinkers group.
Try again, non debating person.
Give up Simon, you will just make him cry and beg the rest of the board to ban you.
The fact you make a valid point just makes things worse.
Yep, taken on board Biley. Getting nowhere.
Tried to debate with people who can not seem to grasp some really simple principles.
To debate, you must first agree what subject you are going to debate on. Offered a subject, got some nonsensical reply about refusing to discuss a completely different subject. Laughable.
Ps. Ozzy 62, hilarious comment calling me a tool. What next, toys out the pram?
Simon, if your aim was to be considered the biggest masturbater on this board, then I'd say you've achieved your objective. I'm guessing you'd like us to forward you your hemp made trophy which will sit proudly on the front grill of your Toyota Pious?
Hereford will no doubt restart as a new club. It just appears that non league clubs do not have the protection that league clubs have.
Currently QPR are racking up unsustainable debt, and could be the next Pompey if the backing falters.
In answer to Simons simplistic question the club could have folded and been removed from the league. A less beneficial owner may have been found and we could have been similar to most other clubs dreaming of the big time. But then Marcus did come along and rescue us, his daughter now owns us and her intentions currently are unclear, but the asset stripping you lot seem to be so desperate to happen has yet to materialise. The training facilities open fully next month, a new manager is imminent. Let's all enjoy the World Cup and worry about the league after.
What I do like after speaking to one of your share holders, who attended the last meeting that plans are in place for your share of the club to drop to 25% to bring in the investment to challenge for
