Yes mate...I actually enjoyed watching that BBC doco last night. The music was still utter crap, but the background and history to the culture of the whole Northern Soul era was very interesting. No wonder it went tits up though...Pete friggin Waterman...wtf. ;)
Not seen Dan for a while? Anyone found an abandoned Alfa anywhere? Most likely the Alfa had broken down and a Wigan Casino tape is in the cassette player?

Agreed Northern soul is terrible...I like power metal and anything anti-punk!!

There's a doc on BBC4 later about Northern Soul for anyone into that sort of thing.
Just done a little research and apparently the song I have as my ringtone on my mobile is power metal, albeit a 21st century version...
