Living the dream

It was great today to be winning 3-1 and the Yorkies facing another certain defeat, I wonder if they think it is worth it.
The Ginger Kean may well jump ship while his stock is high and leave the door open to another Laws or similar flop.
The Board have let the fans down by not investing a decent amount in the team so as to give them half a chance of staying up. Now I relish this policy, it is great to watch the live disaster movie but my experience tells me the home fans are getting a raw deal. Now let it be said that I don't care a hoot but there must be some grumbling in the bowels of the Bee Hole End or whatever it is called these days.
If the Board had spent even half the money they will receive for being bottom with less points than Derby they may just have had a chance, as it is they have none and the world and his brother know it.

It is very possible that their relegation season will make ours look like we were a team of heroes.

To think they laughed at how bad we were under SK!!!

Now I dont hate burnley, I respect what they have done. Hate is a word with no place in football.

However, I will grow to hate them if they dont stop making me p!ss myself laughing every saturday :-)

I don't hate them either but it's funny to watch them grovel in the bowels of the league we once won and frequently finished in the top four.

I beg your pardon, but when you say frequently I didn't know that you could actually class yourselves under that category. Baring in mind you have, in fact, only managed that feat 3 times out of 22 years, I cannot believe that you have actually claimed that. You simply won the Premier League (fair enough, only 5 have done that) after being promoted and Jack Walker investing heavily in 1991. You was the first team to effectively 'buy' the premier league. However when i read post like this, I can only notice that you indeed still think that you are a 'superior' club and globally renowned. Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday, Nottingham Forest and yourselves can all state that you are superior in terms of history but cannot back that up with the fundamentals of the modern day era. You laugh at your closest rivals Burnley, but the truth of the matter is that they are simply playing in a league above you, thus are more successful in the modern day era. If and when you leap frog them next year

I never mentioned anything about you not deserving to win the Premier League for you to call me bitter. You was the best team in England in the 94/95 season, history says that. However my point was that you can't suggest that that success still lives on in the modern day.

Jack Walker saw an opportunity, pounced on it and it paid off for 3-5 years. Yes he was from Blackburn and a life-long supporter and many fans including myself respect that. However it does not hide the fact, however biased you are, that he 'bought' the title for short term glory. In terms of history Blackburn Rovers are one of the most reputable clubs in England, but now lets face it are a long way of being 'successful' again.

Also my apologies for my last sentence in my first post.

We bought the league. True, and I loved every minute of it. As long as what Jack did still irritates people, it is also the gift that keeps giving.

I said I get the feeling, rather than calling you bitter, if I have somehow mislead you I also apologise, as for us achieving the success of the 90's I very much doubt it will happen again in my lifetime.
