With the World Cup,being moved to winter,is this the time for UK club`s to only use English,Welsh,Irish and Scottish players,and say goodbye to the foreign players.?
At least we might end up with 4 countries being represented in the World Cup.
OR is the Premier League to much of a cash cow?

If you want to stop German/Spanish/Dutch players from playing in the PL, then why allow Scottish/Welsh/Irish to play, as after all they represent a foreign FA as well.
The F A should pull out of going with the Chaos it will cause,and we have a cat in hells chance of of getting through the fist stage.Its taken Fifa 6 months to find out July is to Hot!
The league cup will have to be cancelled (not a bad thing) and The Europa Cup ! That's just a start.

D'ya know what, when this whole thing first flared up, I was thinking like most - what utter nonsense this is - a World Cup in Qatar, that great "footballing back water"? - a World Cup in the WINTER FFS???
But now, after a period of reflection, I really don't care any more.
I care so little for our national team these days with one abject display after another, irrespective of who's in charge or who plays, and the constant club v country arguments, that any feelings I once had for "England FC" have long since dissolved into nothing.
Don't get me wrong, I'm certain I will still watch. I love football after all. But my real passion does not extend beyond the Alex.
As for the impact on the Premier League, were it not for the fact that the whole FIFA voting process stinks (corruption is rife I'm sure), I'd just laugh!!
Now if WE were to reach the Premier League by 2022, that's a whole new matter! ;D
There are so many reasons why the World Cup should not be held in Qatar it's hard to know where to start! However, human rights abuses, the fact that they can't play the game to a half decent standard, that the country has a population smaller than Yorkshire, that they promised to hold the tournament in the summer when they knew they couldn't and the obvious corruption associated with the bid are enough to be getting on with.
However, the fact that it is putting European Leagues' noses out of joint gives me great pleasure - it's always good to see what happens when Richard Scudamore doesn't get his own way - he moans and seeks compensation immediately. South American leagues and others across the world have always had to reorganise their leagues for a summer World Cup (as have Russia and Scandinavian countries) but, of course, the PL is special and shouldn't be inconvenienced in any way.

The whole thing is a total farce, the only silver lining is to see Scudamore squeel like a piggy because of the premier league impact.
This sport takes itself far too seriously, and one day it will all come crashing down.
