Ok no idea how accurate this is but I was talking to a mate of mine at the weekend who is very friendly with a physiotherapist who has had a lot to do with Jay Rods ongoing treatment, they claim that he is in effect "Fecked" and it is quite likely that his career is over :/
This wouldn't surprise me as there appears to be no news of any sort of recovery, it's been ages!!

In a few weeks time on 5th April it will be one year since he was stretchered off ,three days after his injury it was said that he would be out for 6 months.
As much as i would love to see him back on the pitch I really can't see him ever kicking a ball again :blue:
Just last month there was some speculation about a March return, that became 6 weeks and not much news since. Summer may be the decider perhaps, be a shame if he had to quit having been on the verge of the World Cup before injury.
A year? Blimey.
If/when he does come back, will he be a shadow of his former self?

Must admit I'd heard something similar - not that his career was definitely over, but that he could be spending another year on the sidelines.
I hope we're all wrong.
Such a sad story if true. Even if untrue his road back will be a long one even if he returns to training this month. The level of physical fitness and strength required to play in the Prem these days is immense and with rumours of more leaving and new additions the make up of the team will have completely changed from that game vs City last year, he'll be starting from scratch to find a role.
I do hope for his sake this isn't another Dean Ashton scenario.
