I sense that much more of the support have been taking that realism tablet and with it focussing more upon the general reparation of the complete club (on and off the field). Not an easy task, given our recent damaging history.
Still hold 'dismay' that Venkys are holding back with any sort of 'announcement', as are also all of our Ewood hierarchy!
However, there is a saying 'actions speak louder than words', so maybe there is an equivalent in Indian culture ;D
Irrespective of this general improving feel good factor though, I do heavily suspect that once we are into the season impatient frustration could rise up again as the desperate need for on field advancement will be more and more focussed upon.
For me it's a simple financial need ( not one of desperately needing to be amongst the 'stars' of the Prem. ) I would not lose sleep over not seeing such ones as Sterling treading our turf !!!
To just hold our position this term within the Champs will be/could be our goal.
With next seasons objectives different to our last two seasons objectives where we had at least a chance to push for the play offs, the cautious GB should have the nous to steer us clear of relegation.Ideal scenario for GB.
So in that respect he gets my backing for another season until the club are (if ever!)in a position to mount a serious challenge to make the play offs ..
Totally agree howie
we are nowhere near good enough for the play offs and a expected position of around 14th should be a realistic target
next season the shackles of ffp are lifted slightly with a greater input of owner cash
Will we be out of it by then and will our owners fancy spending anymore that is the question
As Despair says ..its very silent in Pune at the mo.Quote:

Agreed H. This time round, the conservative side of me says 12-10th. I do believe that if we kept those front 2 we may be somewhere around the playoffs. If (at worst) we finish in a similar position as last season, all things considered, I see that as a decent season. The club would never make this statement, but this has been the case for 18 months now. Balance the books, while remaining competetive. I don't think there's another manager out there, at our level, who could have done as good a job as GB. It's great to see most are coming round to this notioQuote:

Bowyer had a great chance last season to get the rovers into a play off position, but didn't take the opportunity sorry to say I can't see him doing anything better this season, apart from keeping you out of the top six again..
All quiet on the venkys front again.. Have they disappeared up their own @rseholes?
