re: Wednesday Ticket Update
crazy
"We think many City fans will vote likewise and choose not to go. Maybe in that way Sheffield Wednesday will get the message that this is unreasonable. After all, it will only cost Reading fans £25 when they go to Hillsborough. Where's the sense in that?"
then the chairman writes a load of bullsh.t about he is taking them to the premiership and wants the pigsty full XD lmfao

Its not £25 for Reading fans its £30 still a rip off but thats just a fact.
The £25 ticket is for Wednesday Fans with a Membership that entitles them to a £5 discount the pleasure of which will cost them £30 for the season.
And for your Mate this Wednesday Fan doesn't think you will be charged £45 but you might cop for £42 ( but again i reckon maybe Cat B £39 ) and were i in your position i'd tell em to stuff it as well
re: Wednesday Ticket Update
Cant see it McBrewer, sure we will be CAT A along with Leeds as we are the biggest draw, with the biggest away support which means we will get shafted.
I reckon you will give us the 7,000 tickets we need now you have hiked the prices.
I think most Millers will stay at home...4,000 away max on the day
re: Wednesday Ticket Update
I'd say about 2500, honestly.

Thanks for your input mcbrewer. I get the feeling that Bristol City fans will be the first of several this season to take this stance when deciding whether or not to visit Hillsborough.

Cat A is £42 Cat A* is £45
And the away end doesn't hold 7k so theres no way you will receive that amount with segregation it will be around 4.5 - 5 k
Plus there has been so much opposition by Wednesdayites to the announced prices i don't think the Cat A band will receive much use. Could well be wrong tho

Yep the away allocation last season was 4700 which we sold but there were a number of empty seat where the pillars were which I'm sure is why they don't sell those seats to anyone probably taking that to 5K
If the tickets are around 40 quid then I'd be surprised if we would take m
re: Wednesday Ticket Update
I'd imagine fans of most clubs will boycott it on principle.
- It's a **** ground (regardless of local rivalry, it's a horrible tired old ground with **** facilities and crap sightlines - and it's always half empty).
- Wednesday as a team aren't exactly a big draw for most clubs (us lot excepted I admit).
- It's about £10 more than most other places for the privilege
- You can go to Chelsea to watch one of the newly promoted teams for £47 as an away fan and that's about as expensive as it gets.

Totally agree with all of that. The view I had last season with 2 posts one just either side of the goal at the far end was a joke for £30. At least if you go this time it sounds like you will be able to pick your seat, given that it won't be full. I can afford the price, but I doubt I will pay it on principle. I would rather listen on the radio.
