the curious case of Grant Hanley
This is a hard one to call do you take the 4 million on offer which is a good price for somebody who has struggled the past 2 season's but sell to your bitter rivals or turn it down because its them knowing that you won't get a offer like it for him again unless he improves.
I think I would take it but the fires would certainly be stoked around Ewood if he did go to the dingles.
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
Bitter rivals??? Why there have been loads of players over the years who have played for both clubs, we have had a loan ot two from you, no problems at all either coming here or returning. Think Jack Walker was anti Burnley, but doubt Venkys could find it on a map.
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
It took venkys long enough to find sanity and some sort of sense let alone find Burnley on a map
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
Signing him would be a real kick in the gonads for a lot of Rovers fans in that little old Burnley are swooping on you and signing your best players.
As a player I'm not that keen on him coming to Burnley as I think we have better and should only be signing someone for that amount if he improves the team.
But £4m could be a tiny amount for winding you lot up.
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
Would 4 million be a club record ????
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
I believe it would, and on the other hand 4 million might stop 'em winding you up.
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
Curious case indeed. Personally I hope Venkys bite Burnleys hand-off,if this isnt a wind-up.
Im afraid Id take a lot less than £4 million for Hanley! To me,he is easily our worst player(with the possible exception of Corey Evans). :? :?
As someone who isnt really totally anti-Burnley(I dislike Man.Utd a lot more!!)I cant understand any logic to it. But if this would get us nearer financial sanity,I say take the offer.Dont even need to think about it. ;D
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
Burnley aren't getting Hanley, end of. They couldn't afford his wages anyway..
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
That would appear the case saxo as Gary bowyer has stated he wants to keep his CAPTAIN
so that confirms he will remain as skipper
Let's hope he has matured in the few months off.
re: the curious case of Grant Hanley
We could afford his wages saxo we just choose not to pay daft money/wages for average championship players.Thats why you're in an embargo and we aren't.Simple really.
