Today's performance. Way off the pace. The only urgency came when we finally realized we were running out of time. Thought we should've had a penalty near the end. Looked like Rhodes was pulled down but all in all, Hughton must have been pleased with a hard-fought away win.
Very limited quality-wise Rovers are.
Off the pace but still unbelievably unlucky not to have scored. It was incredible how the ball just would not run for us in their penalty box..!
I said this under Henning berg(and still believe it), it WILL turn for us.
Yeah, I'll give you that Sax but we never created one clear cut chance. Marshall unlucky with his free-kick but it's not enough. Especially at home.
Rhodes is useless at the moment is a big problem for us.. The new john stead..
We were losing in high scoring games, some time back.
This was commented by all, that we are treading water with this, but if JR's strike rate drops we are in the mire.
Solution was to tighten up at the back, that has been done, but as we feared JR has hit a patch.
Where are we now: losing games by single solitary goals. Is it really such a surprise.
Can someone tell me, is JR still just not getting the chances (as it does not sound like it to me), or has his touch deserted him, as I am getting to believe in the last two games I've seen.
He's got the big man alongside, the big man sounds like he's winning the percentage of balls. So what's wrong?
Rhodes looks off his game to me at the moment Despair. Mentally. Today's goal was yet another stupid individual error. Then too many players taking too many touches stopped us creating anything of merit. Bringing Dunn in for the rest of the season would be a goodove in my book. I sure he has 25 mins in him and he'd be a good influence around the players.
I agree with Dav on the game. But I do see a futture in the style of football. But not without 5 additions that are better than what they replace.

Danno, it doesn't give me any pleasure describing a game like that. We don't seem to hurt other teams enough. Defences rarely look troubled when we go forward. We never get round teams to turn them round. Regarding JR, he looks a little forlorn. As though just a goal would sort him but we don't give him anywhere near enough. Brown is full of energy but it needs to be channeled properly.Quote:
