There have been 36 league meetings between the two teams at Palmerston with Queens winning 14, Saints 12 and 10 draws.
It has actually been 8 league games since Queens scored against St Mirren, the last time was in a 2-2 draw in Paisley in November 2004 with Queens last victory against us coming in the previous month which was a 2-1 victory in Palmerston.

Update from the Manager
It's been another busy week, as well as the usual training schedule and analyse of last weekend's trip to Paisley, I was down in Dumfries on Monday evening to attend the AGM. It was good to meet with the shareholders and hopefully I answered the questions they had. Then on Tuesday night I took in the re-arranged game between Alloa and Morton, the draw was another good result from our point of view.
This weekend we return to Palmerston for the second of our back to back meetings with St Mirren.
It was a very quiet dressing room after the game in Paisley last Saturday - we were deflated and very frustrated after putting so much into the game and ending up with nothing to show for our efforts. I felt we dominated for the majority of the match and created the better chances against a very experienced side. I'm sure both sets of fans who attending the game would agree.

Having been at the game last week, I fully agree with Fowler about it being unreal that we didn't get something . I would settle for a similar performance and surely a bit more luck in front of goal. Pickard done well again and that's two very good ,back to back displays from this powerful young guy in an advanced midfileld role . Before these last couple of performances, I wasn't his biggest fan but am warming to him a bit now Its been an endless source of frustration that we have had a good striker on the sidelines all season - Hilson- and a case of what could have been in terms of finishing off the chances created . Anyway, let's hope there are no slack challenges 20-25 yards out because young Mallan will not hesitate . I take us to win ( just).

The momentum is certainly with St.Mirren at present and this will be a tough match.
As with any contest - excluding Rangers and Hibs - in this Division the margins are very fine and it could go either way. For example, like last week, their free-kick goes in whilst ours scrapes the bar.
If they win, then they become favourites for 4th as they will have put a run together whereas Raith and ourselves are too inconsistent and thus far have been unable to forge ahead in any way.
Win or lose today, 4th place is still up for grabs and any one of 4 could make it with a decent run - but time is running out. The re-arranged games are crucial as I think we can write-off the Rangers and Hibs games.
We are well capable of reaching the play-offs, it is time for the players to push hard and really show us what they can do.
