England & Scotland poppy decision leads to Fifa disciplinary action

We all knew it was coming but they've also included the minutes silence linked to the 11th November and the big screen in the stadium that had Poppies on it!

The poppy isn't just for the two world wars we're all aware of that but this is the shyttiest decision ever to come out of FIFA.

The new president of FIFA did say that wars happen on every continent even on hers Africa! Many Africans have given their lives in combat for world piece! This is wrong and she is wrong!

If we are deducted points or fied I'd be 100% behind a boycot of the next FIFA World Cup.

This is way out of all proportion, yet another example of FIFA mismanagement, misunderstanding and incompetence. If teams had been allowed to wear poppy armbands there would have been no issue, no fall-out, no escalation and the matter would have been quickly forgotten. Obviously things haven't improved post-Blatter. We still have the usual scenario of petty, officious bureaucrats struggling to understand their own rule books, embarrassing themselves and annoying millions whilst ignoring their true remit of enhancing and developing world football.

Getting moral rulings from FIFA is a lot like getting child care advice from Jimmy Savile

This makes me sick but why am I not in the least bit surprised eh !! :mad:
If they are threatening a points deduction then how many ? It wont hurt the Scots as they have blown it but it could well hurt our own realistic hopes of winning this qualifying group and going to the world cup.

BTW, nothing was done about that other matter was it, the FL stats and tables on our own boards.
