I go back to 2011 and can recall quite a few now not appearing.
The question in my mind is how much of this is down to the arrival of Venkys completely. And with that, the demise they have bestowed upon us?
If we had continued to have been moderately successful (and Prem 'fodder'), just how many would still be subscribing. But equally important - attending matches?
There is a question in my mind at least if it would have been in the upper16/17k.
I can only speak for myself , but for all the reasons I have banged on about for many years I grew tired of the Prem many yonks ago.
This simply down to greed.
When you grow tired of the spectacle inevitably being on a forum becomes less and less of a habit.
Or could it be ( for a percentage ) simply because they're foreign and Asian owners???
I put it down to,the Vemkys,the book of faces,Twitter,media etc
Rovers were losing support even in the premier league, hence cheapie tickets. If we'd remained there I reckon our average would have come down to 20,000 by now. The top 6 is where the interest is nowadays.
Streuth - is it really that long? I tell you what - I bet I can be guaranteed, nowadays, to be out by about 50% when I try to estimate how long ago something took place.
And I see I'm only just reaching 4000, compared to your 26800, Alf! My, but you're a talkative b*gger!
I've just lost interest but still like to keep an eye on things from time to time.
