Somehow I can't see the Burnley fans applauding Wenger next Sunday, can you?
It's bound to be a big occasion on Sunday with it being his last home game. I wouldn't be surprised if we gave him a guard of honour as they take the field.
On this occasion I would be tempted to give him a (small) token clap.
Mind you, I bet he wouldn't see it!
I'll bet Clarets fans applaud him in the 4th minute of added time.
That's usually the time Arsenal are awarded a penalty, an offside goal or one that's been thrown in by an unseen arm.
I think some appreciation for Wenger from the away contingent at the Emirates on Sunday would not come amiss. All I would ask in return is that we are awarded a penalty (it needn’t even be blatant) and that we score from it. I think Vokesy took our last one. Don’t know who would take one this time.
Do we even bother practising pens any more?
Give the bloke a clap for Christ sakes and don't be so mardy bummed.
Anyone who has managed at that level for that long deserves at least a moments applause.
We are becoming a right set of fannys nowadays "Oooh you cant clap that and you shouldn't say that!" - it takes a moment to be pleasant and will actually make you feel better.
I won't be there but if I was I would applaud him. His teams have played some very enjoyable football over the years, and there many bigger w@nkers in football than Wenger.
"Mardy bummed"?
WTF does that mean Casper?
