this is exactly the problem Kev. Its easy to say these players finished 10th but EVERY single team strengthened significantly and got the best they could so they would be ready for the premier league. Just look at what the 3 promoted sides spent. Their ambition puts us to shame. We were the promoted side who stayed up with minimal investment yet we didnt invest again with the owner hoping for another miracle.Quote:

The tactics yesterday saw us with massive possession and attempts... manager did his job well.

The underinvestment in the side, and the transfer policy (whosever it is - the club's or Rafa's - doesn't change the point) has left us in a position where if we now get relegated we don't have the assets to sell to raise funds, like we did last time with Sissoko and Wijnaldum. So, that means either increasing the debt substantially in order to buy some players AND to cope with the shortfall in revenue, or being at risk of failing to come back up. Chances of selling the club are zero for this very reason.
