Remember it well, Soulman...... 5-1 up at 1/2 time kicking towards the BRE, and we Brummie Roaders walked round to the Smethwick 2nd half. Half of the Burnley fans had already left. XDXD
(I think The General scored twice 2nd half).

I was there. I had already seen them score six a number of times but to get more than that was special

I remember Burnley having a scrawny young lad on the wing. Looked too young and too small and he was useless. I believe it was his debut. He went on to become an English international: Dave Thomas.
That was the first time I saw us hit 8. I don't think we had before in my lifetime.

I might be dreaming here Chris ,but didn’t we beat Man City 9 ,Ronnie Allen scored from the penalty spot hit the ball that hard it burst the net and ball.somebody tell I’m dreaming .

Albion 8 Burnley 1 was the headline in that night's Argus. I cut it out and stuck it on the middle of my bedroom wall. It was the first of many cuttings and the start of my Albion Wall.

I was 2 1/4. May well have been there but don't recall it. I know our record score is 12-0 v Darwin. I wasn't at that one!
