I watched it but dispute whether they played or not :blue:
I think we expect too much. Football teams are always going to excite and disappoint us with ups and downs. Nothing lasts so you have to question why you would ever get too upset about it. Teams go up, go down, qualify, fail to qualify whether its Brazil or Brentford.
Totally.
I stopped watching England live in 200(6 the night Ronaldo winked as he got Rooney sent off.
I look at the side picked and see Michael Keane and wonder how the hell he can possibly be an England international.
It’s that sort of selection that just enhances my.....” I couldn’t give a f o o k” attitude.
England have always been the most overated side in World Football. In the last 50 years the number of world class footballers we have had can be counted on one hand, and three of those all played together in the 1966 side, ie. Banks, Moore and Bobby Charlton.
Since then only two players, Bryan Robson and Gazza would i say were world class.
In the 50's England had the likes of Billy Wright, Duncan Edwards, Tommy Taylor, Nat Lofthouse but still managed to win bugger all.
America beat us in the World Cup and Hungary put six past us at Wembley and seven in Budapest.
In all our history we have won one solitary trophy, at home after extra time.
Countries like Brazil, Argentina, Italy,Germany, France, and even smaller countries like Holland and Belgium regulary turn out world class players.
We are a country of second raters who have the gall to come on as pundits and say what the present flops are doing wrong.
No.
Not as bad as the Scots, though!
