As Alan Shearer said, you can't award trophies on the back of probabilities.
The answer is that, by one way or another, the season and all its games must be completed. Even if it means curtailing (or even cancelling) next season. IMO football would be harmed forever by ending a season early without warning and handing out the prizes and relegations before completion of all games.
