Sam Field.
Looks like he's going to make his move to QPR permanent. I think that it's a great pity as I don't think that he was given a fair chance with us. I was always of the opinion that he could have made a decent central defender, QPR appear to be of the same opinion. Our academy produces very good young players but we never seem to benefit from it. Why?
-
I would rather see Sam at the back rather than Calamity Ajeyi.
-
Just the sort of player who could do the business for us in the Championship. I suppose if Sam doesn't rate him there is little point keeping him.
-
We should keep him, we have very little cover defensively. However, I’m not sure that returning loan players settle down, particularly if they have performed well on loan.
-
Good move for him. Never really cut it here. Lots of promise but not consistent enough like lots of our young lads. You have to be special these days to get a place in the first team.
-
Injuries at the wrong time cost him a run in the team. I would keep him.

Another youngster we let go for bugger all, and may go on to do well, was his family villa fans anyway ?
Did Barca ever pay us ?
-
Whether he is good enough to go on and keep improving (I think he is) is not the issue. Albion have a history of developing youngsters but discarding them too early. It is frustrating.
-
Methinks that this will be another loss that we will come to regret. I would have lover him to make the grade at The Albion.

Has any fee for Field been mooted?
I would not let him leave on a free.
