Shearer- does he think we’re all stupid ?

I really enjoyed last nights semi final , and before any of the experts mentioned it, I had already spoken twice to family members on how good the referee, was, especially not falling for any of the old tricks. Imagine my surprise shortly before the end of the programme, when I heard Alan Shearer say that he must mention the referee for having a good game- really ??!!! I know he had a good game, I could see that at half time.Everyone knew he had a good game. Why ? Because we’d been watching it for the previous two hours. That’s why. Please don’t state the obvious, just concentrate on the finer points of the game. You are supposed to be enlightening all of us, with your vast football knowledge.

Bit harsh Mal.most pundits state the obvious.

After the amount of stick these guys give officials I say well done if Shearer praised him. He was excellent and let the game flow and wasn't dishing cards out left, right and centre for ordinary fouls. He must have been good if the commentators/pundits were praising him!

I'm still trying to work out why the Dutch eejit gave the Danes the free kick from which they scored.

That Schmeichel is one hell of a goalkeeper though. :D

It was a foul and they give free kicks for fouls. On the first corner that the Danes had he had warned Rice for holding on and when Shaw grabbed hold of the Danish player right under the ref's nose it was an easy decision to make.
The question really is ---how did he manage to give us a penalty for Sterling falling over as usual. Kane had had a few tries earlier without success ---of course he would have been OK if he had been playing against the Clarets.
Never mind, England are in a final and everyone can go OTT!

that is the question...Sub, embraced by sone, shunned by others, why ?.... that another question.

what I find most intriguing, is that these paragons of virtue, role models to many - exhibit themselves as well adjusted and morally sound individuals - standing/kneeling against all forms of bias and unfairness.....but given the opportunity, willl adopt any manner of base trickery to reach their goal - there's words for them, phonies, imposters, cheats, etc.... so why are these frauds continually allowed get away with it. Shouldn't they only be fooling themselves, not others ?

I mean that he was clipped (twice!) and the wee man quite rightly made the most of it. B)
