U.K. Politics - Complete Turn Off

How many people are sick to death of hearing about parties and scandal? Yes Boris has done wrong but hearing about it day and night is s pathetic!

Now Boris is being targeted by the race card - FFS!! If that MP felt so strong about any issue then why was it not raised before and why now? For the Labour Party to jump in
two feet first is disgraceful with their history of anti Semitic abuse!

Dominic Cummings being interviewed too when he’s the biggest hypocrite going is a complete insult!!

Whilst I don’t like Boris - I hope he bounces back and sacks all those bleating t wats stabbing him in the back! Sunak the little rat should be the first to get his P45!

Many are sick of hearing about political squabbles! Why don’t they address the real issues with inflation running sky high and energy prices to be going through the roof! Perhaps increasing taxes like corporation tax and other taxes for companies raking it in to help the poor with food on the table and to keep warm. Now there’s a good start for Boris to be Robin Hood and get people back on his side.

Think the whole anti-Muslim story seems bollox and more a case of sour grapes over her losing her position.

If the whole pandemic thing has taught us anything it has also highlighted the inequalities in this country and the growing gap between rich and poor. The same issues that have affected most ordinary working people for decades (such as the state of the nhs and education system, a reasonable living wage and availability of affordable housing) continue to remain unresolved and the top echelons of Tory party seem really not to give a stuff because it simply does not affect themselves or their ilk. Added to this, the side affects of global lockdown have led to an unprecedented rise in the cost of living (and, yes, post-Brexit trade agreements have not helped either).

Continued stories in the press about boat loads of illegal immigrants coming over to scrounge off our benefits system or commit acts of terrorism are certainly of some concern but are just a deflection from the underlying inequalities in the country that Boris has no real intention of doing anything about. I get as fed up seeing stories about this as I do about the Tories and the scandal of their lockdown parties.

I totally agree with you about the need for the government-and the opposition -to move on and concentrate on dealing with the more pressing problems at hand such as inflation/tax/fuel prices but no way is Boris going to be a Robin Hood figure!

Our problem seems to be that whilst Boris and co have lost trust and credibility we still lack a viable opposition. Starmer is hardly charismatic but may still be a sensible option but his party is still far too divided and I dislike people like Raynor almost as much as I do Cummings. Sadly, can't see things getting much better for a while😞

Boris has upset too many of the elite since securing Brexit, and with a general election due within the next two years, the elite are now hell bent on securing a Remainer back into no 10, whether Con/Lab or Lib. So obvious these revelations are coordinated between the civil service/newspaper/news channels, just like last year with Trump, throw as much dirt at them until it sticks. But Boris hasn't done himself any favours by not fulfilling promises or by introducing non tory policies which are left wing Orwellian. Our problem will be who to trust with our votes in 2024..

Your final paragraph sums it all up. There is no viable opposition. The far left still has too much sway in the Labour Party and while individuals like that Rayner woman hold such influential positions, no chance. I don't think that Starmer is strong enough but if he could rid his party of these people, Labour might stand a chance.

As things stand, and in order to secure power, Labour will certainly overturn lost seats, but will have to persuade the Scots to abandon the SNP. But you are right, the thought of "we've made it clear" Rayner in high office is frightening.

The next Election doesn’t actually have to be held for almost 3 years up until the end of 2024.

A lot can happen in 3 years in politics, Boris will probably be gone for 2 years or more by the time it takes place.

2+ years is a long time for a new leader to get the Tories back on a safer path.

Like you say, until Labour can win in Scotland they have no chance of a majority and that just isn’t going to happen.

Best they can hope for is a weak coalition with the sandal wearing f u c k wits.

It is interesting how Cummings is suddenly held up by the left as the most honest man on the block, meanwhile their poll ratings stand still, it's only the tory lead that's going the other way.

Haven't seen anything from Starmer about the situation in Ukraine, or 50,000 NHS workers about to lose their jobs, 4.3Bn in loads written off by Sunak. Just partygate and remove the VAT on your heating bill, that's a whopping 5% folks. Not to mention Beijing Barry!

Why has it taken so long to spill the beans on these social gatherings when on one occasion only 30 out of 100 went along indicating that 70 others had some decency and common sense about them.

Soon you can fly into the country without a PCR test if you're vaccinated - because that somehow protects our citizens from a virus that infects and spreads regardless of vaxx status, f'in idiots.

The whole lot is bollox! I know a number of parents from the school who now wish they hadn’t vaccinated their kids - like us! Why vaccinate a healthy under 15 year old - criminal!

Now flu jabs rammed down kids throats! Up until 2 years ago it was mainly only the elderly that were getting flu jabs! Talk about following the herd…

I don’t think the coverage is OTT baggieal I think it is fair, given what he’s done and let down so many. Any trust he had, has been lost. I’m not one to take a pop at someone when they are down (on most occasions anyway), so I will say is this.. for a good few weeks it’s been building. Every other day, they drip feed us with another revelation. It’s all been calculated if you ask me. They sold Boris to us and now the same media are putting the final nail in the coffin. Problem with Boris was leadership, he never had it. Nor did he have the backbone to fire many of his staff.. probably because they had so much dirt on him.

I don’t know the answer to this, but i’d like some sovereignty shown by her majesty to come out and say to this Tory part enough is enough.. you’re all fired and they have to immediately leave for an interim coalition party to form. This would teach any new party to think twice when they break certain rules. Will it happen, will it flu ck. The saying goes and dubbag has stated.. it’s corruption. If we really could make a difference to elect a leader, they wouldn’t let us vote. I think that was the saying.
