Have any of you ever had one?
I haven’t personally but I’m watching something called “Surviving Death” on Netflix which is really thought provoking.
I’m open minded about the “afterlife” scenario, it’s certainly better than the alternative!
Definitely worth a watch.

Twice heart stopped both times responded to ‘frying pans’, first time at home by paramedics, second time about 2 years later when in hospital having tests on my heart. That was about 15 years ago and don’t want to try it again thanks.
Not great experiences but far worse for my wife who was there.
I was told that my great great grandfather in India way back when woke up on the way to his funeral pyre and told people that he was sent back and told it wasn’t his time
In India at the time they didn’t have morgues in the villages and they used to look to cremate pretty quickly in a day or two
Unfortunately I’ve never been able to get any more details
Even my grandad only had the stories he’d been told, but unfortunately was never one to look backwards and always told me to look to the future when I ever asked about history and things that he’d been through
But then again having lived through British rule, partition and the bloodshed involved and having to uproot and move from what is now Pakistan to India
Then move again to the UK and face all the challenges he did, I now can see why he didn’t want to talk about things
I really wish he had been around when I was older I’d love to hear more about his experiences

But a few patients have.
We have a patient charter where we get feed back from survivors of ICU stays for future changes.
Some interesting experiences were had by a few.
Had a brain specialist guy who had done a whole load of research on it and was convinced by the material experiments carried out that more then electrical atom changes took place at death.

I’m inclined to think the latter.
Me personally no, but my father did. He died twice on the operating theatre table and they got him back. He experienced the often mentioned tunnel with an incredibly bright light at the end and he was heading towards the light and content to go but he heard a voice coming from behind him telling him it was not time for him to go yet and started to move backwards away from the light. Eventually he awoke from the operation which lasted nearly 8 hours and was told that they lost him on two occasions. They discovered he was riddled with cancer and just patched him up to send him home to die. With hindsight it would have been kinder to him to have gone on to the light as the next five months was watching him starving to death as he could not swallow anything due to the tumour blocking his oesophagus. However it did give him time to put his house in order and get married at home so his partner would have no problems inheriting their house etc.
