It’s impossible not to know HMRC or the NCA are investigating you.
I’ve had 25 years of having to do VAT and Import Duty payments with HMRC.
Believe me when I say this......you are fully aware when HMRC want to do any kind of compliance check even if it’s a routine one.
If it’s anything more than routine you need to start s h I t t I n g your pants.
