Dead right - him being at the club has been one of the best things about our time in the NL, making it bearable and better than many seasons we had in the EFL.

Really interesting what he says about Langstaff's runs preoccupying defenders, so players like Ruben have more time and space to play. Great that they're enjoying playing together - we're lucky to have them.

He's far too good for this level and we just need to appreciate him while we have him. Very good PR from him but anyone who thinks he is here come the start of next season is deluded.

True, but it was bloody frustrating at times early on. The talent was obviously there, but we didn't seem to know how to use it. Ardley played him too deep, which meant Ruben got frustrated and often took the wrong option and didn't influence games in the way he should. Strangely, he seemed to be trying too hard! Burchnall improved him, and we started to see the player he could be. He has taken a further step forward under Williams, and the way he can create something from nothing with a quick turn on the halfway line belongs at a higher level than this. We just have to enjoy him while we can, and hope we get a good fee when he goes.

Interesting how high the praise is of LW training techniques and intensity - not the first played to allude to that.

Good that he's happy and hopefully we have him until the end of his contract. Seems very mature and doesn't just seem to be reeling off empty platitudes.
