Now, back in the day, on certain amateur pitches anyway, all four corners ( and both penalty spots) were like giant kypies, so you could see the point in moving the ball ( although certain refs wouldn't allow it) but now?
Even if it was to move the ball away from a worn area it makes no sense, the least worn area is where the bloody ball should be in the first place.
